The Société d’ethnologie is a scholarly society founded in 1986 in Nanterre. Its general aim is is to contribute to the development of ethnology, comparative sociology, ethnomusicology, prehistory, prehistoric ethnology, and of the epistemology of these disciplines.


It brings together scholars in these areas (teachers, researchers, students) and promotes the dissemination of knowledge through its research activities.
